Andrew Scott completed his LLB degree through UNISA in 2007 and served his articles in Durban. He joined a firm in Morningside as an admitted attorney and focussed on family law and civil litigation. He became a partner of that firm in 2013 and was admitted as a conveyancer in 2015 and as a notary public in 2018.

Andrew now runs his own firm in Westville. 

What does Andrew do?

Andrew Scott practises as an admitted attorney, conveyancer and notary public. As the director of the firm, he consults with clients, advises and attends to the matters personally. 

Andrew has litigated in courts throughout KwaZulu Natal, Gauteng, Pretoria, Cape Town and Bloemfontein – ranging from local magistrates courts,  High Courts to appeals to the full bench provincial division of the High Court and the Supreme Court of Appeal.

As a conveyancer, Andrew has attended to the transfer of many properties and has attended to the registration of mortgage bonds for financial institutions and private clients. 

As a Notary Public, Andrew has advised on and attested to  ante-nuptial contracts, notarial bonds, servitudes and has authenticated documents for use overseas.

Andrew has assisted many families with the administration of deceased estates and has been appointed as a trustee for a number of family and will trusts.

14 years experience as an admitted attorney

8 years experience as an admitted conveyancer

5 years experience as an admitted Notary 

LLB degree completed through UNISA

Andrew was previously a partner in the Durban based law firm, John Hudson & Company. 

He consulted to the Hillcrest based law firm, Lister & Co for 2 years.

Andrew established Andrew Scott Attorneys Inc. in 2022.
